rings rings rings

So I bought three new rings on Saturday when I went shopping at the mall with a friends. I have this ring obsession, I just love them - wacky, simple, delicate, edgy - whatever it may be, rings are my thing! My favourite by far is the owl one, I think it's adorable. I also got another - wait for it - five today! But in my defense, four of them were in a pack, you know, the slim tiny rings that all match each other? So technically, I only indulged in "two" today. :) I'll post those pictures later on when I get the chance to photograph them.

What do you think? Are rings your thing too, or are you devoted to another type of jewellery?

a glimpse of gold - or should I say silver?

So today I decided to play around my baby (my Canon DSLR, of course) and try shooting some photos of my jewellery. Unfortunately, my collection of rings, bangles, necklaces and more is severely lacking. I grabbed a few random pieces, however, and started shooting away. I have to say, my favourite type of jewellery has to be rings. They say so much about a person, a really bring an outfit to life. Anything silver, vintage-inspired, edgy, long, multi-fingered, or weird is a score for me.

I probably should have thought the arrangement of the jewellery before I started snapping away, haha. But, I do love the addition of the fur in the photo (faux). My go to bracelet is the silver and navy one, along with the matching silver bracelet with patterned bumps.

You can see a closer look at the details of the other bracelets here. The magenta and pink beauty is something I picked up in Greece - I absolutely love it. And the more chunky turquoise number was a cheap - but awesome - find at Forever 21.

I love this photo - the gorgeous fur against the delicate but overpowering glimmering ring is perfect. I bought this for prom, but I never wore it. I love looking at it though - any suggestions on how to pull it off without looking a little over my head?

Two of my favourite rings currently are the two pictured aboce - the simply cut silver ring, and the men's braided ring that I found at H&M. I love them to pieces, but I would really love to extend my collection of rings to crazier, almost avant garde pieces.

Pearls are so classic, yet so modern. Paired with the fur, glamourous ring, slightly less subtle silver bracelet, and delicate lace, the look is screams old Hollywood.

What do you think? What's your favourite piece of jewellery?

A gorgeous, carefree outfit to wear on a breezy day. Just swap the heels for a pair of worn in taupe oxfords, and you're good to go. Outfits like this one make me smile - its simple, but not really. Sequins aside, I would definitely wear this to go strolling around downtown. What do you think?
